FALL 2007
Love it or Hate it-The brand is still growing!
Ok so the H4 (HX concept to debut in Detroit next year) is on its way in the near future with diesel and ethanol options, all while the H3 continues its worldwide expansion. The H3 hit a slight bump delaying its introduction, but Australians should be traversing the countryside any day now. A smaller Hummer would not only increase market share as it goes head to head with the Wrangler, but it would satisfy the strict senate backed fuel efficiency standards being imposed. Who knows what will become of the large SUV market. I’m sure that’s a major concern in the upcoming reengineered 2010 H2.
Ok let’s get to the issue and more peaceful discussions. Tranquil. That’s what comes to mind when I think of the wonderful explorations that Mexico has to offer. Just one look at our cover image and I’m sure you’ll agree. If you’re looking for a memorable off-road experience let the team at Boscos Camp take you on a tour of Mexico’s’ beautiful surroundings.
Manny is back from the Adventure Challenge and here to share the highlights, while keeping you informed on proper trail pre running in Off Roadin’. Bruce comes thru as always with the latest happenings down in our Nations capitol. Speaking of our Nations capitol, Hummer owners are still faced with constant malicious acts of vandalism. The most recent which received national attention occurred when DC resident Gareth Groves’ Hummer suffered $15k damage at the hands of eco-terrorists. It’s a shame that certain individuals choose to use drastic measures like these to force their views on fellow Americans.
The demise of the H1 has led to an increase in the used market, so Hummah Tech gives some tips on selecting a used one, while Installz shows you how to dress up your grille with billet/stainless inserts. And if chrome is not your thing, then check out the latest black wheels for Hummers, and while you’re throwing on the larger wheels, head on over to check out some brake upgrade options for the H2 & H3. From there we check out an H1 Alpha serving duty as a hurricane tracker for the Hurricane Research Center. Finally we take a look at the Humvees future and some of the vehicles looking to replace it. The Humvee continues to serve in front line warfare, which it was not designed to do. Something needs to be done to help decrease our casualties.
Lastly we hear that GM might be giving us a sneak peek at some concept/future Hummers at this years SEMA show. We can’t wait. We’ll keep you posted. Take care.
